How to detox your whole life in 10 easy steps

We live in a world full of chemicals, processed foods, and poisons. It’s getting so bad that people are starting to do detoxing on a regular basis because they eat and drink too many toxins. People sometimes do things like go on a juice-only diet or only eat organic food. There are many more ways to clean up your whole life, and we’ll talk about them.

1. Don’t buy products with chemicals.

This one seems simple, but a lot of people would be surprised by how many toxic products they have at home that can cause problems. For example, cleaners for the house can cause all kinds of problems. In the short term, breathing problems and stomach problems can happen, and some household cleaning chemicals can even kill you. Some may not seem to do much at first, but over time they can cause cancer.

The best thing to do is to get rid of those toxic cleaners and use ones that are safer for the environment. This is true even for things like toothpaste. There are things in chemical toothpaste that cause dry mouth and canker sores. Overall, it’s a pretty long list, with things like chemical air fresheners, pet products, and laundry products on it. Getting rid of these harmful chemicals is the first step to living a detox life.

2. Don’t buy medicines and cosmetics from a drugstore.

This is also a big one because most people don’t think these will be that bad. Did you know that taking NSAIDs like ibuprofen for a long time can make you up to three times more likely to have a heart attack or stroke? The liver doesn’t like Tylenol.

Even worse are cosmetics, which you wouldn’t think could be that bad for you since you use them every day. A study by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) found that the average woman uses nine cosmetic products, which exposes her to more than 100 chemicals. Many of these chemicals have been linked to birth defects, breast cancer, hormone problems, and problems with getting pregnant and having children. So, the next step is to get rid of your drugs and beauty products and start looking into natural ways to fix simple problems and organic ways to look good.

3. Get rid of the people who are bad for you.

As much trouble as toxic chemicals can cause, so can toxic people. They can make you think bad thoughts and do things that are bad for your body. They can also make you feel a lot of other mental, emotional, and sometimes even physical pain. It’s about time to cut ties with people like that. It has been shown over and over again that having negative thoughts and feelings is bad for your health. So, the premise is pretty clear. If you want to live a detox life, you need to get rid of all the toxins, including toxic people.

4. Don’t buy anything from the grocery store

Everyone tells you that fruits and vegetables are good for you, so this seems like a bad idea. They don’t say, though, that you should probably eat fruits and vegetables that haven’t been sprayed with dangerous pesticides. Pesticides are used on most fruits and vegetables, and it doesn’t take a doctor to tell you that chemicals that kill other living things are probably bad for you, too. Since the 1990s, there haven’t been any real changes to the rules about pesticides, which is sad. If you can, try to buy organic vegetables that either don’t use pesticides or only use natural, non-toxic ones.

5. Stay away from high fructose corn syrup

This one will be the hardest because not many people know how much of this stuff there is. It’s in a lot of different foods, like soda, yogurt, bread, salad dressing, juice, and a lot more. High fructose corn syrup is dangerous because it acts differently in your body than sugar. Because of the difference, the blood sugar gets higher and goes up more quickly. This can cause weight gain, diabetes, and just about every other health problem that comes with being overweight. Did we say that it also has mercury in it? You can avoid high fructose corn syrup, but it’s hard. As an example, I stopped eating high fructose corn syrup 18 months ago and have gone from 220 pounds to 170 pounds since then. No one is telling you to eat a lot of sugar either, but if you have to choose between sugar and high fructose corn syrup, sugar is actually better for you.

6. Stop smoking

This one could not be clearer. It’s bad for you to smoke. It does almost nothing good for your health, and cigarettes are full of more chemicals than we can list here. If you haven’t been living under a rock, you’ve probably heard that smoking is bad for you. If you smoke and want to clean up your life, you should really give up.

7. Put real plants in every room of your home.

When in doubt, bring nature indoors! Having plants inside can help you in a number of ways. The more important thing it does is clean the air. Plants take in carbon dioxide and give off oxygen, but they also take in other chemicals from the air that can be harmful. Some nice plants can also make a room more interesting and make your house smell better.

8. Get eight hours of sleep every night

While your brain is lulling you into the wonderful world of dreams that is sleep, your body is doing a lot of different things. Your immune system is revved up, your wounds heal faster, your body is reset, and you may even be less likely to get some diseases, like heart disease. It will also give you more energy to do the next thing we tell you to do.

9. Sweat it all out

Exercise not only makes you look better and lowers your risk of many diseases, but it also helps your body get rid of toxins. Your body gets rid of toxins in many different ways, and one of those ways is through your sweat. When you exercise, your body gets stronger, and when you sweat, your body gets healthier. You can also get a good sweat going in a sauna. Don’t forget to take a nice shower afterward to get rid of all the bad stuff you sweated out.

10. Detox your finances

When you don’t have enough money, life is bad. When your life is bad, you are more likely to do harmful things. Fixing your budget will give you a more pleasant and pure peace of mind. This means paying off your debts, getting a better handle on your finances, and even spending more money on yourself. Buying something nice for yourself makes you feel good. You may also need a few extra bugs to replace your chemical products with the slightly more expensive organic ones. Everyone wins.

It can be hard to get used to a life without toxins. Some of the chemicals you use are likely ones you’ve been using your whole life. It takes time to clean up your finances and your group of friends. Even if it wasn’t good for your health, you probably wish you could get enough sleep. It’s a hard way to go, but if you stick with it and get it done, you’ll be glad you did.
